Central office of SPW in Warsaw
As part of its job SPW actively promotes international volunteering, both online in social media, and live - during meetings with youth. In summer we coordinate workcamps in Poland and send Polish youth abroad to participate in volunteering camps all over the world.
Each year we host two volunteers who work in our office and support us in our actions. The tasks of volunteers are mostly divided in the two fields: - support in communication/social media and promotion of the projects- live meetings/workshops/supporting facilitation of the trainings for other ESC volunteers and local youth and helping with workcamps management
One of the volunteers will be responsible for promoting workcamps and ESC projects and will support us during the recruitment process for ESC long-term projects - creating infopacks and ESC guides, managing Whatsapp groups, being in contact with selected volunteers to support them in preparation. The volunteer will create social media content for our profiles on Facebook, Tiktok, Youtube and Instagram - should therefore be familiar with tools for creating graphic content and editing videos and should have own ideas. One of the tasks will also be visiting other ESC volunteers (within the region of Mazovia) and interviewing them, to create informative materials about their activities in different host organizations. Any extra skills in graphic design to create posters and infographics will be an advantage.
The other volunteer will organize live meetings to promote youth mobility, intercultural education and international volunteering among Polish youth. This volunteer is therefore required to have interest in social topics and intercultural education, good communication skills and an ease in taking initiative in social situations. The volunteer will be expected to propose topics and prepare materials for meetings with support of the ESC coordinators. As part of the work, the volunteer will help us during workcamp season and support preparatory meetings for Polish youth going abroad, therefore the volunteer should be familiar with the concept of workcamps (and preferably should be a former participant of such a project).
Both volunteers will be in contact with other people frequently, so should feel good around people and have a good level of English. They will be more than welcome to realize their own mini-projects during their stay with SPW.
